A sea mine exploded in the vicinity of the Romanian resort of Kostinesti, located near the shores of the Black Sea. As a result of the incident, one man was injured. This was reported by the Romanian publication Digi24.ro.
Around nine o’clock in the morning, a sea mine was detonated, located approximately 300 meters from the beach area and the Forum hotel.

In the same area, near the pier, another sea mine was found floating on the water surface. In this regard, the Romanian Navy has organized a group of divers who will go on a coast guard ship to neutralize the threat. However, this operation takes place in conditions of strong wind and rough sea conditions.
«This is a difficult mission for divers. As soon as they arrive, we will have more information. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, our divers have neutralized five sea mines in our area of responsibility,» said the spokesman of the naval forces, Corneliu Pavel.
It was also announced that a special protocol is used in such situations. According to him, an interagency cooperation plan is in place, which includes interaction between various bodies responsible for responding to such situations.
