HOW AND WHERE TO WATCH ROLAND-GARROS 2023?

 

All you need to know about the official broadcasters of the Roland-Garros 2023 tournament, which will be held from 22 May – 11 June!

In 2023, the Roland-Garros tournament will benefit from extensive TV coverage in France, courtesy of France Télévisions and Prime Video, as well as abroad, on more than 170 television channels in 220 countries.

France: France Télévisions and Prime Video

For the 2023 edition of Roland-Garros, and are guaranteeing maximum coverage of the tournament in France. A long-term partner of Roland-Garros, France Télévisions will broadcast all of the Parisian Grand Slam’s matches, excluding those played during the night sessions on Philippe-Chatrier court and those on Court Simonne-Mathieu, to be shown on Prime Video.

Through its TV channels France 2, France 3 and France 4 and its , France Télévisions will be on air at 11:00 from 28 May. Tennis fans will also have the chance to watch , on france.tv and the app France tv sport. For the second year running, France Télévisions (France 4) will broadcast onCourt Philippe-Chatrier on Saturday 10 June.

For its part,  will provide exclusive coverage of the, which start on Monday 29 May and run until Wednesday 7 June. The sessions will begin at 20:30, half an hour earlier than last year, and will each be preceded by a pre-match show that will go on air at 19:45 from the set on Court Philippe-Chatrier. Prime Video will also broadcast women’s and men’s singles and doubles matches played on Court Simonne-Mathieu and on the two main qualifying competition courts from 22 to 26 May.

The semi-finals and finals of the women’s and men’s singles and the women’s and men’s doubles, as well as the final of the mixed doubles, will be shown by both of these broadcasters.

Wide TV coverage abroad

This year, Roland-Garros will once again enjoy wide television coverage both in France – thanks to France Télévisions and Prime Video – and abroad. The tournament will be broadcast on more than 170 television channels and digital platforms in 220 countries.

The Parisian Grand Slam will be broadcast in 50 countries across Europe on . What is more, the FFT has signed a new broadcasting agreement with  in China, to broadcast Roland-Garros on its digital platforms for the next three editions of the tournament (2023 to 2025). Meanwhile,  is still the TV broadcaster in China.

In Japan, the FFT is delighted to have extended its agreement with , which has broadcasted Roland-Garros for over 30 years.

The director of the Paris “major” Amelie Mauresmo said that the Serbian will not have problems due to the fact that he is not vaccinated.

“At the moment, there are no obstacles for Novak Djokovic to take part in Roland Garros. Our task is to gather the strongest possible composition of participants,” Mauresmo said.

“We have learned to be very careful. Every month we see that things can change. This scenario is complex, there is always the opportunity to return to the principle of “bubbles” – added the General Director of the French Tennis Federation Amélie Oudéa-Castera.

Andy Murray commented on the decision to debut in the Laver Cup with Federer and Nadal

Three-time Grand Slam champion, former world number one, British tennis player Andy Murray, who agreed to play at the Laver Cup in London (UK) from September 23 to 25, commented on his decision. Murray, for whom this will be his tournament debut, will play for Team Europe, which will also feature 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer and 22-time TBS winner Rafael Nadal.

“I enjoy playing as part of a team and there is a great atmosphere in this tournament. I have heard a lot of good things – and I am very glad to be able to team up with Roger and Rafa in the European team, ”Murray is quoted as saying by the BBC.
