The Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia became the winner of the WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati. In the final, in two sets, she defeated Petra Kvitova from the Czech Republic.

Garcia became the first “qualifier”, as she won the title at the WTA 1000 tournament. In Cincinnati, the Frenchwoman started from the first qualifying round and won the top 10 tennis players at the tournament.

This is the 3rd title of Garcia in the season, the 10th in the car’er and the 3rd in the WTA 1000 tournaments.
